Fitzroy Football Club: Great football, Great community, Great culture.

Lest we forget

25-Apr-2024

Each year, ANZAC Day gives us the opportunity to remember and honour the men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice and those who have, and continue, to serve our country.

At Fitzroy, we are proud to provide our football family and community a place to come together and pay tribute to the ANZACs.

This year, our Senior and Reserves Men will take on Old Xaverians at the Brunswick Street Oval. Prior to our Senior Men taking the field, a bugler will lead us into a one-minute silence with a rendition of The Last Post.

At half-time, we'll host our traditional wreath laying ceremony at the Edinburgh Gardens’ war memorial where we remember the Fitzroy players and other community members lost in wars.

We welcome you to participate in these special ceremonial moments with us on Saturday at Brunswick Street Oval.
